Our Ethics
For Mrs Kontoloucas, motivation is the crucial force behind the successful learning of English. This belief has been absorbed into the ethos and structure of each of the study programmes offered at the English Learning Centre.
With the introduction of the Creative Learning Hour, this innovative approach has meant we provide our students with every opportunity to 'live' English in a natural, fun and meaningful context. Unique to the English Learning Centre, this specific module is built into the yearly timetable for all students, offering an additional hour of interactivity through fun based tuition: drama, songs, music, role-play, computers, arts and crafts and project work. These all help support and challenge the students' developing academic skills through this essential complementary medium
- Fully qualified staff of highly skilled teachers
- British educated, with majority of staff native English speakers
- IT/computer coordinator on site, overseeing all networked systems
We believe it's important to offer regular in-service training for our staff throughout the academic year, to ensure effective programmes of study take place. We aim to:
- Raise awareness on current methodologies
- Generate fresh ideas, offer tips and share innovative techniques
- Improve English Language Teaching standards
- Monitor teachers regularly, thus ensuring consistency and standardization
